Instructions
- Rim the Glass:
Dip the edge of your martini glass first into the chocolate syrup, then press it firmly into the crushed graham crackers to coat.
- Layer the Chocolate: Pour the dark chocolate liqueur very slowly into the bottom of the glass over the back of an upside-down spoon.
- Mix the Cream Layer: In a separate small container or cocktail shaker, stir together the heavy cream and marshmallow vodka until fully combined.
- Layer the Vodka: Float the vodka-cream mixture on top of the chocolate layer by pouring it as slowly as possible over the back of your upside-down spoon.
- Prepare the Garnish: Thread one whole marshmallow onto a bamboo stick.
- Toast the Marshmallow: Use a kitchen torch, open flame, or oven broiler to lightly brown the marshmallow. Watch it carefully so it does not catch fire.
- Serve: Balance the bamboo stick across the rim of the glass. For a dramatic presentation, briefly light the marshmallow right before serving. Stir the layers together well before drinking.
Notes & Expert Tips
- Ingredient Alternatives: If marshmallow vodka is difficult to find, you can swap it for standard vanilla vodka, whipped cream flavored vodka, or make a quick DIY marshmallow infusion at home ahead of time.
- Safety First: If you choose to light the marshmallow for a campfire effect at the table, blow the flame out completely before taking your first sip.
